Daylight saving time change is a bust

According to this article, a study conducted by the University of California found that residents in Indiana actually paid more for their utility bills after the change in daylight savings time.

The study found that although residents used less electricity for lighting, they used more electricity to heat and cool their homes.

A second related article makes the same claims, but notes that in the few years we will probably go back to the spring forward time in April, but will stick with the new fall forward time in November. The author ironically ends his story by saying "Now give me a Twix. "

The more I think about it, the more it seems that Dr. Webber is on to something when he speaks about Willy Wonka and his involvement in DST.
