The Environment and Church

In the bulletin at church today there was an interesting 4 page insert about the environment and how that relates to being a good church going member. This bulletin contained some articles which were basically trying to communicate personal responsibility for our environmental actions. Everything from riding the bus more often to recycling to using more efficient light bulbs was covered.
I thought that this insert was a very good idea and reflects how much our society has acknowledged that we have some serious issues concerning the environment. Some of the strong points of organized religion are common thought and strength in numbers. When many people believe the same thing, they can use their group size to accomplish tasks thought impossible. Hopefully this environmentally friendly propaganda continues and eventually influences collective group action on a very large scale.
If anyone actually reads this post, I have a question.
Has your church promoted any environmentally friendly ideas?
