Green Vacations

National Geographic has an article listing the "Best Green Adventures."  I was surprised at some of the places on the list... like Dubai.  Isn't this the same place where there's indoor skiing?  

NG's top ten green destinations are:

Brazil

Dubai

Canada

Belize

Kenya

Gabon

Laos

Ireland

Turks and Caicos

Greece

It was a little odd that they were classified as either "eco-success," "tipping point," or "watch list."  It seems to me that anything on the watch list would be somewhere where tourism would not be encouraged.  But I guess the point is encouraging more eco-minded tourism.  See the link for more details.  The article recommends things to do and places to stay while vacationing at each spot.
