If Michigan can do it we can too
I just recently heard that the people of Grand Rapids, Michigan have volunteered to pay more for energy as long as it is renewable. The 20 percent of the energy supply for Grand Rapids will come from renewable energy sources like wind, hydroelectric and landfill, by the end of the year. The city is one of the largest contributors to a new program called, Green Generation Program. I think this is a great step forward, and to see a city come together as a whole and unite on such an important issue shows that many people really do care about the environment.
